President Cyril Ramaphosa has called for an end to hate crimes and discrimination against the LGBTQI-plus community.
Members of the community are often targets for crime, and face ridicule when going to the police.
Ramaphosa delivered the keynote address at the Human Rights Day commemoration event in Koster in the North West.
