Search continues for man who fell off boat at Hartbeespoort Dam

The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) says a search is underway for a 40-year-old man after he reportedly drowned at the Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West.
It’s understood the man fell out of a boat on Saturday near Randburg bridge and disappeared underwater.
The rescue team said he was with a group of friends on the boat when the incident happened.
NSRI spokesperson, Craig Lambinon:
“On arrival on the scene following an extensive search, which included NSRI rescue swimmers conducting free dive search efforts, there remains no signs of the missing man.
“Family of the missing man attended at the scene and are being supported by counsellors. Police divers, assisted by NSRI and SRU, are continuing in an ongoing search operation.”
