Harrismith residents agree to suspend protests

A week-long protest near Harrismith in the Free State has ended after a meeting with provincial officials.
The area has been in chaos over the past few days, as residents showed their frustration at poor service delivery.
They have given officials a week to get help from the national government.
The deputy president visited the embattled municipality last week, promising better service.
The municipality has been identified as one of the hotspots in the country for service delivery problems.
