Key Performance Areas
:
The position is supporting management in all aspects of the technical / mechanical / grounds side of the resort functions.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
Mechanical – (boats, tractors, generators, lawnmowers)
Plumbing repairs ( Must be able to do Geyser replacements, pipe repairs in own capacity etc)
Electrical minor repairs (fault finding and repairs)
Airconditioning and Appliances repairs, & fault finding
Building maintenance – upkeep of units and buildings and surrounds to a high standard and to do preventative maintenance during year and priorities workflow and planning
Overlook gardens and upkeep
Water plant and Sewerage plant maintenance
Be able to always do cost savings on maintenance
Stock purchases
Staff management experience – at least managed 30 – 50 staff
Be able to set out daily tasks with Maintenance and Garden teams every morning, and ensure task completed to a high standard
Oversee recreation water sport activity staff when Manager off
Security and staff roster control when Manager off
Health and Safety training – Upkeep resort registers and ensure we comply, etc
Stock control – implement stock control systems and upkeep it, undertake monthly stock takes with resort manager
Candidate Requirements:
Mozambique Citizenship
Language – Portuguese and fluent in English
Valid Passport
Be able to do stand bys in evenings for call outs
Good communications skills with co workers and guests and owners
Assists with any reasonable instruction from management
Valid Driver’s License
Working Hours – Monday to Friday 8 – 5 pm (work alternate weekends 8 – 1pm)
