Gauteng: At 10H52 Monday morning Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting on Bergrivier Drive in Kempton Park on the East Rand.
Reports from the scene indicate that a 45-year-old male security guard had sustained critical injuries after being shot in the face in an armed robbery.
The patient was treated on scene by Advanced Life support paramedics.
Due to the nature of the patients injuries a Netcare 911 Helicopter ambulance was called to airlift him to a specialist facility.
