Groote Schuur staff offended by anti-vaccine protestors allegations
Staff at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town are upset by remarks made against healthcare workers during a demonstration outside the hospital.
A group of unmasked people have been saying COVID-19 vaccinations are part of a global conspiracy to curb population growth.
They have accused healthcare workers of killing people.
However, the Western Cape Health Department has reiterated that taking the COVID-19 vaccine remains voluntary.
It says vaccines are safe and highly effective and has urged people to get information about vaccines from credible sources.
