Calls for school principal to be fired after rape of Grade 1 pupil

The community of Soshanguve in Gauteng is threatening violence if the principal of Khensani Primary does not resign.

This comes after the rape of a Grade 1 pupil allegedly on school premises by the general assistant.

Concerned community members have met with the school governing body.

Meanwhile, investigations are underway and the Gauteng Education Department has instructed five staff members at the primary school – believed to be involved – not to report for duty.
