Gqeberha The Empire is reportedly coming to an end after season 1. It was said that the TV drama is canceled due to the poor pay and ill-treatment of actors An insider revealed that they were moved to Port Elizabeth but lived in dumps.
It was also reported that actors are underpaid and they even got starved on set. The TV series replaced The Queen but it was rumored last year that it had financial problems.
