Gordhan, Eskom hold urgent meeting over diesel supplies

The Department of Public Enterprises says government and Eskom will find the money for diesel supplies.
The utility has run out of fuel to help keep the lights on. Minister Pravin Gordhan held an urgent meeting with the Eskom board on Sunday night.
He says the DPE is working with National Treasury to procure funds.

Additionally, they discussed stabilising the electricity grid through maintenance and addressing criminal activities hampering Eskom. Stage 4 power cuts continue until 4pm, with Stage 5 thereafter until midnight.

Gauteng police are appealing for information about a shooting in which popular Amapiano musician DJ Sumbody, whose real name is Oupa Sefoka, was gunned down.
The shooting which occurred in Woodmead led to the deaths of two people including DJ Sumbody, and seriously wounding of another in the early hours of Sunday, 20 November 2022. Learn more
