Drama as Prophet stabs man for looking & touching his girlfriend’s bums

A pastor (42) has been bust for allegedly stabbing a man for lusting after his girlfriend. Siyabonga Vuthula (25) from Philippi block 6said two months ago, the pastor warned him not to look at his girlfriend.
Siyabonga never took it seriously but on Monday 11 April, the pastor allegedly attacked him with an Okapi knife, apparently stabbing him three times.
The pastor from St Johns apparently accused him of touching his girlfriend’s bum the previous day.
Siyabonga said: “I was attacked for something I didn’t do. I never looked at his girlfriend or touched her bum. These are all lies.”
After the girlfriend had left on Sunday, that was apparently when mfundisi accused Siyabonga of touching her bum.
He claimed she’d reported it to him. Siyabonga said he told mfundisi they should call her together so she could confirm the allegations, but he refused.
Siyabonga said: “He then changed and said he saw me, so there was no need to call the girlfriend. He again promised to stab me. ‘Ndizokuhlaba ngemela unye (I will stab you with a knife so that you suffer)’ were his words.
“I saw him walking in my shack holding a knife that was already open. Before I could react, he was attacking. He was targeting my heart but I turned around and gave him my back as I ran outside but he had already stabbed me below my chest. He chased me but when I fell on the ground, he went back.”
A resident who witnessed the incident said when Siyabonga fell, mfundisi wiped his bloody Okapi with a handkerchief, closed it, and took his satchel before boarding a taxi to work.
A church member told the publication the pastor was supposed to be at church this weekend and they were shocked to hear he was bust.
“He is our pastor and a prophet. He was supposed to be leading services during Easter but we’re told he’s in jail. It’s the devil who didn’t want him to do the Lord’s work but we’ll pray for him.”
The pastor was bust on Thursday evening, 14 April after Siyabonga opened a case upon being discharged from the hospital.
Captain Frederick Van Wyk confirmed the incident.
“A 42-year-old man was arrested on a charge of assault. He is due to appear in Philippi Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 19 April,” he said.
The pastor was also bust last year for stabbing another man for allegedly stealing food from his house.
