A South African woman has gone viral after giving men advice on the women they choose to marry. @tr_cally advised men to only marry women that go “50/50 on the bill,” and she has caused quite a stir. Some Saffa tweeps don’t believe that what she says is true while other wholeheartedly agree with her tweet.

A South African woman has gone viral after giving men a piece of advice. @tr_cally (Cally) tweeted that men should marry a woman that offer to go 50/50 when the bill arrives. Soon after the tweet went viral she added another tweet to the thread. Cally said that the women in the replies section under her original tweet were more concerned about men “popping out money” than gender roles. She has definitely ruffled a few feathers with her bold tweets.

Her original tweet has received almost 2 000 likes and over 500 retweets. The replies section is where the drama and a bit of humour lies.

The young lady went on to break down what she meant by the bills, ‘Water bill, electricity bill, school fees, accounts, credit cards, restaurant bill, etc… Those are bills, but all you think about is the restaurant’, she wrote.

Here are some of the reactions from tweeps:
She didn’t mean that, and 50/50 doesn’t mean u split things into half wherever u go, I think she meant in a union must be able to share responsibilities such as electricity, water, bond, car, food etc,I can not go to restaurant n share a bill,be it it’s me who took here out o her
