Generations: The Legacy – Rapulana Seiphemo breaks, opens up on leaving Tau Mogale after 18 years

Legendary actor Rapulana Seiphemo has departed from Mzansi’s hit soapie Generations, however, he will still be appearing on our small screens as he will be taking on a new character.
After nearly 2 decades of playing one of television’s most loved characters, Rapulana is sad to be parting ways with Tau Mogale. On the upside, he is ecstatic to be working with Connie Ferguson again as he has joined the hit telenovela The Queen.
He will be playing an endearing and ambitious police officer who also has his skeletons and who is involved in the drug world. Hector Sebata, his new role, has already started filming with Ferguson Films, but there is still that void space Tau Mogale leaves.
“I love Generations. It’s been my home for many years …Tau was part of me for many years and anything is possible in the acting world.”
Rapulana could not decline the offer when he was approached by Connie to star in the telenovela and he expressed his excitement with Drum Magazine.
“Connie is like a sister to me. I respect her hard work and professionalism … they presented a compelling case that enticed me to consider their proposal. But it was only after several discussions and meetings that I was convinced to join.
“I’m not yet done shooting with Generations but will soon start my stint on The Queen. I’m not sure how the grand exit will be, only the writers know, but I’m sure it’ll leave jaws on the floor,” he expressed.
Shooting for his new and much-anticipated role has begun and by the look of things it is all ‘smiles’ on set.
