Full Job Description
The main purpose: To ensure that the property of the CTICC building is suitably maintained to a five-star standard and looked after on a daily basis. Provide and/or ensure that there is suitable and appropriate planned, preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
Reporting to the: Maintenance Manager
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Assist Event Services Managers with daily venue request (install power, room changes)
Complete daily venue/facility inspections
Maintenance activities undertaken and completed at specific areas
Basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs buildings, guiding personnel on applications and requirements
Painting and tiling repairs including doors locks and door repairs
Attending to the completion of procedural instructional/transactional forms/documentation
Data recording for fault diagnosis, corrective and preventive maintenance, condition monitoring
Ensuring that all relevant job cards are completed and checked daily
Plan ahead of time in regards to events and venue changes
Identify all maintenance concerns and provide the Line Manager with regular written and/or verbal feedback as required
Assist in the preparation of risk assessments and method statements, health and safety inspections and documentation, as well as quality or environmental output as may be required from time to time
Respond to emergency calls when directed by employer or office staff
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Matric or equivalent
3-5 years’ experience in a corporate maintenance environment
Driver’s license advantageous
Personal attributes: This position would suit a well-disciplined and meticulous individual. The ideal incumbent will be enthusiastic and display high energy levels. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be a team player. The candidate must also be flexible and have the ability to work productively in a stressful, deadline-driven environment.
The position is based on an hourly paid salary structure.
Must be able to work abnormal hours (weekends and public holidays).
