Horror as gay man killed at lodge for not being a woman after a blesser spent money

A tragic incident unfolded for 29-year-old Clement Hadebe from Madadeni in Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal. He had gone out with friends last Sunday and met a man who later invited him home.
The following day, Hadebe was discovered fatally shot nine times at a Johannesburg BnB in the early hours of Monday.
According to ZiMoja, Hadebe encountered his alleged killer at the popular KwaMai Mai Market in downtown Johannesburg, where drinks were purchased for him.
According to a friend of Hadebe, who spoke to ZiMoja, the man and his friends joined their group, offering to buy them drinks. When the man showed interest in Hadebe, the friend advised him to disclose that he was a man.
Despite this advice, Hadebe did not reveal his sexuality and ultimately accepted the man’s invitation to go home with him, leading to the tragic outcome.
Another acquaintance revealed to ZiMoja that while in a car with the men and Hadebe en route to their hostel in Jules, Hadebe’s friend was abruptly told to exit the vehicle, as the men only wanted to be alone with Hadebe.
Subsequently, Hadebe was found shot nine times the following day, allegedly by the man who had departed with him that night.
A different friend shared with ZiMoja their belief that Hadebe was targeted and killed by the man upon realizing his s.e.xual orientation.
Expressing shock and dismay, the friend recounted how the man had generously spent money, assuming he had taken a woman home and even reserved a room at a bed and breakfast.
He should have just let him go. What he did was appalling. I pray he faces justice for this heinous act. Hadebe was a wonderful person who cherished life; he did not deserve this,” the friend lamented.
