Gauteng SGB member faces rape charge

The Gauteng Education Department is considering a removal of the Magaliesburg School of Specialisation in Krugersdorp’s entire School Governing Body.

This after Lulamile Jabane, a member of the SGB, allegedly raped a matric pupil at a farewell event earlier this month.

Jabane has been charged with s.e.xual assault and will remain in custody until 8 March 2023 after abandoning his bail application.
