Gauteng residents urged to vaccinate as cases rise

Gauteng health officials are urging residents to get their COVID-19 jabs This as concerns mount over the rapid increase in cases.

On Friday, Gauteng recorded over 2,000 of the country’s 2,828 cases. The test positivity rate has increased to 9.1 percent.

Meanwhile, President Cyril Ramaphosa is convening the National Coronavirus Command Council on Saturday.
It comes amid growing concerns over the increase in new infections and the impact of the new variant.
