6 people injured in gas tank explosion in Bonteheuwel
Police say six people sustained injuries in an apparent gas tank explosion in Bonteheuwel.
The incident occurred in Redberry Street on Monday.
It also caused major property damage. The cause of the explosion is not yet clear.
“Bishop Lavis police responded to the complaint at around 16:00 and found structural damages to the roof and walls of the house,” said the police’s Joseph Swartbooi.
“We can confirm that six victims between the ages of two and 45, who sustained injuries, were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.”
