Mystery surrounds Garsfontein pupil’s death

Mystery surrounds the death of Mia Kühn (16) whose body was found at Hoërskool Garsfontein.

A groundsman found the Grade 10 pupil’s body on a sports field on Tuesday.

The Gauteng Education Department is investigating how the body ended up on school premises as schools are closed for the holidays.

MEC Matome Chiloane says the police have categorized her death as unnatural.

Chiloane says the department will provide psychosocial assistance to teachers, pupils at the school and the parents of the deceased.
