Pravin Gordhan files court papers against Mkhwebane’s report

Former Public Enterprises Minister, Pravin Gordhan has filed court papers slamming Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s report.

The Public Protector found that Gordhan broke the rules when serving as SARS commissioner.

All of this, linked to an early retirement package for former executive, Ivan Pillay.

Gordhan’s lawyers, is now asking a court to set aside the report.

They also want a declaration, stating that she breached the Constitution when she decided to – quote – exercise jurisdiction over the complaint.
