Ex-G4S employees call for accountability

Former G4S employees marched to the Mangaung prison.
They want to stop the company from being granted an extension and want its officers held to account.
Former G4S employee Morui Mphou said, “number one, they should not grant G4S extension, like you said now, G4S was given 90 days to vacate the premises, however, we have it on good record that they applied for an extension for further 90 days which possibly will be next year January.”
“So we saying no they should not be given an extension. Secondly, they should be litigated, there are three officers that were involved in this escape and put the community in danger.”
“Still now, those three officers have not been dealt with internally.”
“The three officers are supposed to be suspended with immediate effect while they still consider the memorandum that we’re going to give to them. So criminally we believe that they were also part of what happened and putting this community in danger, so criminally they should be held responsible.”
