Fikile Mbalula conveys condolences to families of Free State crash victims

The Transport Ministry has conveyed its condolences to the families of the victims of Monday’s N1 crash.
At least 13 people died in the early hours of the morning between Winburg and Verkeerdevlei in Free State in a crash involving a minibus taxi and a heavy motor vehicle.
Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says the loss of lives due to road carnage is extremely devastating.
He’s reiterated the importance of trying to limit driving to the daylight hours during this festive season and has urged South Africans to drive with caution at night.
It’s still unclear what caused the fatal crash, but police are investigating.
