Four arrested for Eastern Cape mass shooting

Four people have been arrested in connection with the killing of 7 family members at their home in Bityi, Eastern Cape

Earlier this month, gunmen forced their way into the homestead and opened fire. Six people died at the scene, while the seventh died in hospital.

The family was arranging for the burial of their relative, who had been shot dead the previous week.

The suspects, aged between 24 and 28, are expected to appear in the Bityi Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
