Former Ipid head McBride to testify at Zondo commission

Former Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) boss Robert McBride will testify at the state capture inquiry on Monday. The commission’s focus turns to law enforcement agencies in the new week.

McBride’s testimony has been postponed for several weeks. He was initially set to testify on the 18th of February, while he still headed the Ipid.

McBride’s contract has since expired. During an Ahmed Kathrada Foundation event last year, he described state capture as a silent coup.
