Former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede is innocent until proven guilty – ANC in KwaZulu-Natal

The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal says embattled former eThekwini mayor Zandile Gumede is innocent until proven guilty.

Gumede has been sworn in as an MPL in the KZN legislature. She is still being investigated for corruption and fraud.

ANC KZN’s provincial spokesperson Nhlakanipho Ntombela says Gumede has been removed from the eThekwini metro in order to ensure the stability of that municipality and utilising her experience in other levels of the organisation.
