Former Crime Intelligence boss Richard Mdluli’s case postponed

The case against former crime intelligence boss Richard Mdluli, has been postponed.

Mdluli, along with two co-accused Solomon Lazarus and Heine Barnard, are being charged for allegedly abusing the crime intelligence slush fund.

It’s alleged, the fund was used to buy cars for Mdluli and the others and to fund overseas trips.

Mdluli is currently serving a five-year prison term for kidnapping, assaulting, and intimidating Oupa Ramogibe in 1998.

He was charged with Ramogibe’s 1999 murder, but those charges were withdrawn.
