State to pursue murder charge against Forest High School pupil

The State has announced it will be pursuing charges of murder and attempted murder against Forest High pupil Mohammed Moela.
During his bail application, Moela testified he was acting in self-defense after the deceased and his friend attacked him.
The State believes after consulting with witnesses that they have a case.
“I had managed to consult your worship with three of the four witnesses today and I can inform the court your worship that based on my consultations the state will be pursuing a charge of murder and two counts of attempted murder against the accused,” said Prosecutor Sugendha Mudaly.
The case will start on 6 January 2020.
