Forest High murder suspect back in court

Forest High School pupil Mohammad Mwela returns to court on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old is accused of murdering fellow pupil, Daniel Bakwela.

Mwela claims he was defending himself against a gang on the day the 16-year-old was stabbed to death.

He said the murder weapon belonged to the deceased and was dropped during a scuffle.

The Education Department says the accused is eligible to write mid-year examinations.
