Flysafair flight delayed after a foetus was found on the plane

A FlySafair flight scheduled to take off from Durban on Friday has been grounded after an abandoned human foetus was found on board.
In a statement released on Friday the airline said the foetus was allegedly discovered by the technical crew as they prepared the waste management system before departure.
“FlySafair regrets to confirm a tragic finding aboard one of our aircraft this morning. Flight FA 411 was scheduled to depart Durban for Johannesburg at 06:15 am.
“Upon final preparations of the waste management system for the departure of the flight, our technical crew discovered what appeared to be an abandoned foetus within the system”, read the statement.
Head of sales and distribution at FlySafair Kirby Gordon said the matter has been handed over to the police and investigations are underway.
“We will be doing everything within our power to aid authorities in the necessary investigations and thank our loyal customers for their patience with the resultant delay”, said Gordon.
