The first repatriation flight departed from O. R. Tambo’s International Airport bound for Brazil on Wednesday. A statement says a total of 321 passengers boarded the LATAM flight for Sao Paulo, Brazil.
eNCA has learnt that there were no major challenges in making the necessary operational arrangements for the LATAM flight.
The LATAM aircraft is believed to have carried an additional 16 crew members so that it could do a crew change at the airport.
