Contract

To maintain plant and equipment in safe working condition; attending to equipment failure/ breakdowns and emergency call outs.
To supervise and monitor contractors on contract service (air conditioning, gas supply, major electrical work and construction).
To liaise with Business Unit Managers on improvements to streamline production where possible.
To order and control appropriate spare parts for Operations
To control, implement and schedule preventative machine maintenance to minimize down time and lost man hours.
To fabricate plant and equipment where necessary or possible to reduce overall costs.
Undertaking adhoc projects for Business Units, adhering to project time lines and liaise with regional sites on progress
Continually obtain competitive quotations in order to minimize repairs and maintenance costs.
Other duties as specified by the Management team.
Implementation and maintenance of ISO 17025:2005.
Adhering to OSHACT and Environmental legislation and internal policies.
Adhering to policies and procedures in accordance with ISO17025 policies.
Company vehicle management and monitoring of fuel and maintenance costs

A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in mechanical and electrical industry with at least two (2) years supervisory experience is required.
