Firefighters’ hoses slashed in Langa

Cape Town Emergency services officials were attacked while trying to contain a massive fire in Langa on Saturday night.

Firefighters had their hoses slashed to prevent them from putting out the blaze.

About 300 shacks were destroyed in the fire in Joe Slovo that began at around 6 pm.

The fire was eventually extinguished at around midnight.
