Actor Sizwe Khumbuza has confirmed his Uzalo departure saying there is no bad blood between him and the team. The actor is grateful for his character and the chance to portray him on the hit SABC 1 drama soapie Uzalo.
He became an instant hit with viewers as he was a charming, yet dangerous man seeking to avenge his father’s death. Godfather, his character, is set to exit the show by the end of season six.
In a bid to ease his fans from the outrage of their exit, he explained that it is completely normal for actors to come and go from a show after fulfilling their duties.
“As actors, we play characters in a story, whose story sometimes requires certain characters to exit to serve the purpose of the story. I am very happy to have had such a beautiful experience at Stained Glass TV,” he told JustNje.
He laughed at the possibility of him returning to the show when asked by the publication, stating that one can never know the possibilities but it could be possible.
Sizwe revealed to JustNje that his next role will be featuring his twin brother Lizwe Khumbuza. The two brothers will be starring in a television production which will air on SABC 2. He did not divulge too much information about that however it is something his fans can definitely look out for.
