ENSURE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT OPERATIONAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ACROSS BYTES MS:

Provide inputs towards the development of the Financial Strategy and ensure effective operational financial management towards the financial viability and sustainability of Bytes MS;
Conduct detailed budgeting for efficient and effective operations by translating strategic objectives into goals with specific outputs and targets, monitor and track expenditure, and maximize cost-benefit ratio’s.
Collate financial data for month-and-year-to-date reporting, clarify discrepancies, and model solutions to address financial variances;
Provide strategic and operational financial management services to Bytes MS;
Ensure that management account data are accurately presented in the relevant financial systems;
Coordinate monthly Balance sheet reconciliations;
Support the Finance Director to regularly report to the relevant committees on the financial status and compliance of Bytes MS;
Prepare the relevant financial contribution to the Quarterly Reports, Annual Report, Strategic Plan and other Group Reports;
Submit Income Statement and Balance Sheet variance analysis as part of the MML submission;
Effectively manage all operational financial functions and systems;
Ensure timeous payments of supplier accounts and payroll transactions;
Define an Asset Management Framework / Model to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness (i.t.o process, technology, people and infrastructure);
Ensure that accountabilities and expectations with regard to the operation of assets are clearly defined
Drive management involvement to optimize organizational assets and empower them to make the right decisions; and
Monitor and improve asset performance.
Potential financial risks;
Monitor adherence to internal financial parameters, and external legislative and governance requirements;
Regularly liaise with the Senior Bytes MS Leadership on corporate governance, provide advice and contribute toward the alignment of Bytes MS to the relevant legislation and regulations.
Regularly liaise with Bytes MS management to create awareness and understanding of the key financial value drivers and levers to optimise financial performance on accounts;
Proactively identify financial patterns and trends, determine impact, identify risks and recommend best-fit alternatives to mitigate risks;
Provide financial risk management oversight and partner with the Business Continuity Manager and Finance Director to effectively manage enterprise risk across the business;
Drive the optimisation of operational financial systems and procedures in line with business, as well as applicable legislative and regulatory requirements;
Coordinate the process to appointing external auditors;
Liaise with external auditors and ensure that all audit requirements are adhered to; and
Advise on Bids / Quotes / Proposals as and when needed

DRIVE DELIVERY OF GROUP FINANCIAL SHARED SERVICES IN LINE WITH BYTES MS BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:

Define Bytes MS’s core and support financial requirements, and determine the shared services, processes and systems required for effective operational enablement;
Liaise with Group Financial Shared Services on Bytes MS’s requirements, and drive alignment of the Shared Services Model, Service Framework, processes, SLA’s, policies and procedures against those;
Ensure alignment of internal financial processes with shared services processes, policies and procedures are in place, and drive organizational adherence to those;
Balance, manage and oversee financial shared service delivery across the different operational units in line with the constraints of annual planning cycles and organisational specifications;
Maintain and enhance an economic, effective, efficient and legislatively compliant financial support environment; and
Continuously drive alignment of internal and external Bytes MS financial shared services and processes with key business requirements, creating an effective and efficient business enablement environment

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
B Com Qualification in Accounting or Finance and completed articles
Post graduate financial qualification an advantage
5 years financial management experience
Proven management experience
Proven relevant experience in management accounting
Proven relevant experience in financial systems and process enhancement

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of GAAP General Accepted Accounting Principles
Sound knowledge of business principles, growth and profit drivers
Sound understanding of financial reporting packages
