What’s the role?
You will be responsible for managing and leading the financial department according to sound financial systems, practices and processes that are compliant with relevant legislation.
You will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting functions which include accurate and timely submission of financial reporting and consolidation
You will be responsible for analysing overall financial position and perform necessary analysos on cost, budget and renevue
You will be responsible for managing the month end closing process and to review and analyse General Ledger details ensuring all relevant accounting transactions have been properly recorded
You will be responsible for reviewing and implementing internal controls and maintain standard operating procedure on financial policies and procedures for the Company
You will be responsible for reviewing income tax and GST tax returns for the company and ensure compliance with all tax legislation
You will be responsible for tracking expenditure to approved budget and provide variance explanations. Produce management accounts to be reviewed by cost centre managers
You will be responsible for understanding new businesses and strategies and implement the impacts within the business
Candidate Requirements

Matric
Bcom degree in Accounting / Relevant Honours degree
Qualified CA(SA) who has completed article and has 3- 4 years’ experience working in an accounting role
Experience in a finance manager role
advantageous
Experience in Managing a team of people
