Job Description:
My client is looking for a passionate, self-motivated and driven Financial Controller. You will be responsible for the accounting operations of the group, enhance the accuracy of the group’s financial results and ensure that results comply with IFRS.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Prepare, examine and analyze records, accounts, statements and reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Develop and document business processes.
Cash flow management.
Manage outsourced functions.
Financial and operating metrics.
Annual budget and forecasts.
SARS administration.
Calculate variances from the budget.
Group insurance administration.
Assist in releasing daily payments.
Financial analyses.
Research of technical accounting and tax issues.
Education:
BCom degree
Completed SAICA Articles (3 years)
CIMA/ACCA advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
Tax and IFRS knowledge
Advanced MS Excel skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment, deadline driven
Team player
Strong work ethic
Meticulous attention to detail
