Requirements:
Qualifications:
Qualified CA
3+ years Commercial experience working for organisations with a Billion rand + turnover
2+ years managing a team successfully
Project involvement
Experience working with the full accounting function
Experience working in a complex environment
Accounting
To oversee and manage the accountants to ensure completion and accuracy of:
Reconciliations of all trial balance and sub ledger accounts
Year end audit
Creditors reconciliations completed
Monthly payments on time
Statutory and compliance Operational controls and procedures
Highlight short comings in Store procedures
Work closely with Cash Book Controller Cellular business
All cellular related transactions Store assistance
EFT/ Cash/ Cheque releases
People Management
Manage and motivate a team of accountants
Ensure efficiency and optimised performance
Performance Management where required
Monitor and assign duties
Regular meetings and feedback to team
Financial duties:
Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information
Reporting to management and stakeholders
Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
Developing long-term business plans based on these reports
Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets
Developing strategies that work to minimise financial risk
Establish, monitor and achieve company financial goals
Manage company budget to maximize revenue and identify potential areas of cost savings
Promote continual process improvements in specified budget areas
