| Gauteng goes high tech in the fight against crime

While Diepsloot burns and the demand grows for more visible policing, the Gauteng Community Safety MEC Faith Mazibuko and Police Commissioner Elias Mawela launched a drone programme.

They hope the programme be effective in the fight against crime.

The drone pilots and the 6 thousand deployed crime wardens are part of the measures announced by Premier Panyaza Lesufi to deal with soaring crime in the province.
