Search continues for person who reportedly fell from a boat

The search continues at Hazelmere Dam in Kwazulu-Natal on Monday afternoon.

Officials are looking for a person who is understood to have fallen off a boat at the dam on Sunday.

Paul Herbst from IPSS Medical Rescue said, “as per witnesses who were on the boat with him, is a 28-year-old male, American citizen. The exact cause of what happened on the boat, we are not sure. He fell off the front of the boat, they heard a large noise. We suspect the motor of the Impala hit him so they tried to circle to come back to see him but he had gone under by then.”
