Farm Mechanic required:

We are looking for a mechanic to work for our company.

He will be able to carry out the following tasks.

1. Work on both diesel and petrol engines.

2. Would be helpful if applicant has knowledge on motor bikes.

3. Understand Hydraulics.

4. Understand and be able to repair basic electrics.

5. Weld.

6. It would be an advantage to work a lathe but not

required.

7. Preferable to have an EC and A license.

8. Must be able to keep job sheets and job costings, thus administrative skills.

9. Work with people and good communication skills

10. Manage a team for smooth operations of repairs and

maintenance on the farm.

The person must be:

a. Of sober habits

b. Be able to multi-task as interruptions in workshop is

normal, yet still be able to return to tasks at hand and complete jobs.

c. Prepared to work any hours of the day and weekends

as job requires. (Within limitations of the Law)

d. Have own non-electric tools.

We are requiring the successful applicant to:

1. Work from a 5 day work week and every alternative

weekend a Saturday half day. Such weekend the

successful candidate will on standby for any

breakdowns/problems during that specific weekend.

2. Be responsible and ensure that if they want to be

away arrange amongst other equally skilled staff to

cover their standby.

3. Respect all fellow employees equally.

4. Live close to work – rental accommodation closely

available.
