Fannie Masemola to lay out police’s crime-busting efforts after Gauteng kidnapping ring interception

National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola is due to lay out the police’s crime-busting efforts across the country on Thursday morning.

The briefing comes after officers intercepted another kidnapping ring in Gauteng.

A businessman was rescued in Lenasia on Wednesday night after he was kidnapped at a mosque in Roodepoort in July.

Gauteng police arrested eight suspected kidnappers, including three Tanzanian nationals.

“Our communities and the safety of all people, including businessmen, they shouldn’t fear to stay in the country. So, continue dealing with those kidnappers, including those that are dealing with drugs, in the same vein as we deal with any other criminals.”
