
Twelve bodies have been recovered after last month’s heavy rains and floods in KwaZulu-Natal, but the Magwaza family from Nkandla continue searching for loved ones.
They say two of their members were swept away while trying to clear debris after the rains.
Search operations have since been called-off, but the family hasn’t given up hope.
The Cooperative Governance Department in the province says, so far, damage caused by the floods is over a billion rand.
The MEC says the search for the missing two will resume soon.
