Inmates to appear in court for allegedly operating extortion scam from prison

Four inmates will appear in court on Monday for allegedly running an extortion scam from prison.

They face charges including extortion, impersonation of a police officer, money laundering, and forgery.

It is understood they swindled more than an R1-million from men who used an online escort service.
