Constitutional Court rules Executive Ethics Code unconstitutional

The Constitutional Court has ruled that the Executive Ethics Code is unconstitutional, unlawful and invalid.
The case involves the amaBhungane Centre for Investigative Journalism and President Cyril Ramaphosa.
His CR17 campaign funding came under heavy scrutiny over who made donations to him in 2017.
Amabhungane took the matter to court because the code doesn’t require the disclosure of donations for political positions within parties.
