Ex-Big Brother Mzansi’s Themba Broly Denies Drug Use Following Fight

Themba Broly, former Big Brother Mzansi star and reality TV personality, has broken his silence following viral reports alleging drug use and his involvement in a violent altercation that left music producer Nicey Beatz injured. The entertainer has come out strongly against claims that he uses cocaine, describing the accusations as baseless and damaging.
Speaking to the media, Themba Broly Mabaso firmly denied any involvement with drugs, especially cocaine, saying, “I am a rockstar, but I don’t smoke cocaine, it’s very expensive to buy.” His remarks come after widespread speculation linked him to a physical fight that escalated into chaos at a residential apartment block.
The Alleged Altercation: What Happened?
The incident in question reportedly involved a group of around 15 men and resulted in music producer Nicey Beatz sustaining injuries. According to Nicey, the clash began after Themba Brolly allegedly assaulted another man during an argument. Nicey claimed that the assaulted man’s friends returned to retaliate, and he ended up caught in the crossfire.
“He became almost like a demon-possessed,” Nicey alleged. “After the incident, he left, and that guy’s friends came back for me.”
However, Themba Broly has firmly disputed this version of events. According to him, the altercation was not premeditated nor drug-fueled but stemmed from a simple misunderstanding that escalated unexpectedly. “There was a stupid squabble outside the apartment. His girlfriend wanted to leave with my phone. I was upset. Then I went up the lift with another guy,” he explained.
He further added that the misunderstanding arose from the use of the slang word “ntwana”, which he claims is commonly used in his hometown of Alexandra to mean “my guy.” “He thought I was belittling him. But where I come from, that’s how we talk. It wasn’t disrespect,” Themba explained. “That’s when the fight broke out. Nicey wasn’t part of it. He just got caught up in the situation.”
Themba Broly Refutes Cocaine Allegations
Themba Broly has taken particular offense to suggestions that the incident was fueled by drug use. “Nobody asked me if I smoked cocaine. If anyone did, I’d say no. I don’t smoke weed either. My eyes are always red, that’s just me,” he said.
He emphasized that public figures like himself are often unfairly targeted. “People are quick to label and judge without knowing the facts. It’s brutal. I’ve never used drugs, and people need to stop spreading lies,” he added.
Themba Broly also addressed the impact that these rumors have had on his personal life, especially his role as a father. “My son has TikTok and YouTube. He sees these things. Imagine him watching someone call his father a beast. It’s a lie. I wasn’t proud of the fight. I was defending myself.”
Attempts to Make Amends
In the aftermath of the incident, Themba Broly claims he made efforts to take responsibility where necessary, including offering to cover Nicey Beatz’s medical expenses. “I offered to pay his bills. He never got back to me. Then he went on a podcast, probably for views. That podcast can’t arrest me. If it was that serious, he should’ve gone to the police,” Themba Broly said.
He expressed frustration at being dragged publicly without any formal charges laid against him. “There are no cops looking for me. I’m just cautious, I don’t want to get hurt. Especially not my face. Sometimes, a face card is all you have.”
Despite the intense media scrutiny and online backlash, Themba Broly insists he has nothing to hide and continues to live his life freely. Known for his distinctive look and vibrant persona, Themba has become a popular figure not just in entertainment but also in music and fashion. He maintains that his character is being misunderstood and misrepresented.
“I’m not running from anyone,” he said. “I’ve always been upfront. I’m just trying to protect myself and my image for the sake of my career and my family.”
While the court of public opinion remains divided, Themba Broly appears resolute in defending his truth. With his name trending on social media and his every move being dissected, he remains focused on clearing his name and protecting what matters most to him—his career, his children, and his integrity.
