Blade Nzimande: Don’t allow NSFAS to be abused
Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande is urging students to stop abusing the NSFAS scheme.
The minister says students who lost their funding, may have used incorrect information. Nzimande says the scheme is meant to fund those who are in need.
He said, “we urge the majority of the poor and the working class South Africans to protect NSFAS for the sake of their own dependents and not allow NSFAS to be abused.”
Nzimande said SARS uncovers this through verification and urged students not to “chance” the scheme.
