Eskom warns of possible power cuts
Brace yourself for possible power cuts. This after Eskom lost five generating units. The utility says no rolling blackouts are currently underway, but the power system is under severe pressure.
This could lead to power cuts at very short notice if more units fail. The power utility is urging consumers to use electricity sparingly.

Total breakdowns have increased to nearly 17,000-megawatts and planned maintenance is topping nearly 5,000.
