NUM: Eskom wage increase illegal
The National Union of Mineworkers is fighting what it calls illegal decisions by Eskom.
The power utility is implementing a one-point-five percent conditional basic wage increase but the NUM says this is an abuse of power, because workers can’t embark on a protest.
The union is now threatening to take legal action.
It says Eskom isn’t managing its finances properly.
