Stage 2 load-shedding will be implemented from 10pm Tuesday until 5am Wednesday.
Eskom says this is being done to preserve and replenish emergency generation reserves, and to maximise available daytime capacity.
The power utility requested customers to use electricity sparingly, as the system remains vulnerable and unpredictable.
