Eskom‘s system is taking strain and power cuts are set to remain a while longer. The utility will outline its operational performance and plans at a media briefing.
Load-shedding returned on Thursday evening with Stage 2. Eskom announced on Friday morning that Stage 2 load-shedding will kick in at 9am and continue until 6am on Monday morning.
It says this is due to system constraints and depleting emergency resources. Eskom says it’s been forced to use diesel generators, as power systems are under pressure.d
