Pravin Gordhan announces Mpho Makwana as new Eskom board chair
Eskom has a new board.
Minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Gordhan made the announcement on Friday.
Gordhan said he met with the former board on Tuesday to inform them.
He named Mpho Makwana as the new Eskom board Chairperson.
Former trade union leader Bheki Ntshalintshali also joined the new Eskom board.
Gordhan says he will add a valuable contribution to Eskom when it comes to labour relations.
The minister also gave an update on the blackouts.
South Africans can expect Stage 4 blackouts until next week.
